Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable dental aligners. With more freedom than traditional metal braces, Invisalign allows you to eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. Using 3D imaging technology and no metal whatsoever, prevents the typical abrasions during treatment. In return you spend less time in your doctor's office getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

Benefits of Invisalign

  • Improved Oral Hygiene – With an orthodontic appliance that is removable, you will be able to clean your teeth more effectively and easier than with traditional braces.
  • Discreet Look – If you consider your orthodontic treatment to be a private matter, or simply feel that metal braces don’t fit with your self-image, a practically invisible form of orthodontic treatment may suit you.
  • Wider Dietary Choices – To protect metal wires and braces, some diet modifications are necessary. With clear aligners, there are practically no dietary restrictions or changes required.
  • Comfort – The thin, flexible material will not irritate the soft tissues of the mouth that braces typically agitate.
  • Grinding Guard – If you have a teeth-grinding or clenching habit, Invisalign can function as a thin guard that will protect your teeth from excessive wear.

Invisalign Process

You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth gradually straighten to the final position your doctor has prescribed. You'll visit our practice about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time typically lasts nine to 15 months, and the number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30.
